GeoBridge — Privacy Policy

What the GeoBridge plugin does with your data. Short answer: nothing.

What the plugin sends

No telemetry, no analytics, no geospatial or project data. The Free edition contains no network code and sends nothing. The Pro edition sends your Autodesk user ID and the app ID to Autodesk once at startup to check entitlement — nothing else, and nothing to LichtBus. The result is cached locally and stays valid offline for up to 14 days; beyond that the software makes no connection.

Data flow

Source → plugin (local) → Revit element. Plugin settings local in `%APPDATA%\LichtBus\GeoBridge\settings.json`.

License verification

Only the Pro edition runs an entitlement check with Autodesk's service at startup, which also enforces your subscription; the Free edition contains no network code and checks nothing. The check for a new version is performed — as for any App Store app — by the Autodesk App Manager between itself and Autodesk, not by GeoBridge. For the Pro check, only your Autodesk user ID and the app ID are transmitted to Autodesk; LichtBus receives no data from it. The check runs once asynchronously at startup and never blocks Revit; the result is cached locally encrypted (14-day offline grace window).

Platform separation

The lichtbus.de platform is separate. Anyone opening a ticket there actively sends data — covered separately under /datenschutz.
